kagamine len is a japanese vocaloid created by crypton future media, and alongside his mirror image, kagamine rin, he has had many iterations since their initial release for the vocaloid2 software.as one of the most popular vocaloids in existence, len is well known throughout the community for his clear and energetic voice that is able to sing at nearly any range. he is used in a wide variety of songs, such as pop love melodies, dark ballads, and powerful rock songs. len's reputation throughout the fanbase may vary depending on the individual, but overall, he and rin are fan favorites, and are second only to hatsune miku herself.

whether this len is a "len model" android, or something more like a human idol, as though he were the kagamine len character himself, is intentionally left up to interpretation. there are references to the vocaloid software and associated information, but whether or not this is literal or simply a fourth wall break is up for you to decide. len himself is as vague about this as i am, so good luck trying to pressure him for answers!len lives in a small but appropriately sized home with "his" rin (@oriinji), as opposed to a larger building that houses many other vocaloids. the two reside here on their own, and while the house is not in their name, as they are too young to legally own a home, they live there and maintain it nonetheless.len hates crying. he has nothing against the vulnerability of it, but he hates the issues that come with it, such as difficulty breathing and the lingering tiredness afterwards.len owns a somali cat named saturn, a surprise gift from mars (@kitsucrisps). at first, he was quite annoyed with her, since he didn't feel he had the responsibility to take care of an animal, but he has since grown into quite the cat dad!len's room is an absolute mess. clothes are strewn about on the floor, books and cases are thrown together in piles or haphazard stacks, and it honestly looks as though a tornado ran through it. despite this, len claims that there is a method to the madness, and is somehow able to find anything he is looking for within seconds.

len personally contributes to songs in which he is used. whether this means communicating with the producer online or actually visiting a studio is dependent on the producer themselves, but he likes to be involved in the work.you would think it would be obvious, but despite all of the jokes, len has never actually died. every instance has just been him acting out a role. he's pretty tired of people believing he actually has some incredible magic power that revives him, but he's glad his acting is that convincing.acting is a bit of a passion for len. after years of experience, he's gotten very good at dedicating himself to a role, and he knows how to draw out the right emotion and the right feeling needed for a scene. he is always ecstatic when a producer decides to use the vocaloids in the song as actors in the video, as it allows him to put his skills to work.there are many songs in which len is not entirely comfortable with his role, or he does not agree with the message of the song. despite this, while he may have his qualms, he understands that there are always reasons behind a producer's choices, and thus always puts forth his best effort for the producer's sake. if nothing else, he wants the song to sound good!

len's favorite thing in the world is the appreciation shown by his fans. their love and support fuels him in a way that nothing else can, and while he may maintain a composed display while among them, he often gets emotional thinking about it when he's not in public.len's favorite color is obviously yellow, but he also loves green and red as well.while he does enjoy bananas, he doesn't like them as much as everyone thinks he does. he enjoys many other foods, and more often than not, bananas are merely reserved for a snack or as a topping.

[ ●●●●● | ∞ | ☼ | ☑ ]len's mirror image and twin sister, these two have been together since their debut. the two have achieved stardom thanks to being used in countless songs and beloved by fans across the globe. while they may bicker and poke fun at each other, these two have are inseparable and care about each other on an extremely deep level.despite all of his teasing, len is a bit defensive of his sister, especially when it comes to the way others view or speak to her. he also depends on her for a lot of little everyday things, since she's the one who takes care of the house and makes most of the meals.len also makes a point to remember that if it weren't for rin, he would have never gotten to where he is today. originally, it was just rin who would make her great debut in the vocaloid world, but because of her, len was able to join her and be shared with the public at her side.

[ ●●●●● | ★ | დ ]mars is len's best friend and the person he spends most of his time with. despite having a somewhat awkward first meeting, the two quickly bonded and have been close ever since. he considers mars to be his closest friend in all the world, someone he can be more open around and have the most fun with. len is eager to hang out with her at any opportunity, be it gaming at home, relaxing in the park, or even goofing off during his official vocaloid work. the two often look out for each other, with mars often dropping in at the kagamine residence to check up on len; or just to hang out.due to mars' questionable origins, the two have gone through quite a lot in the past. having been dragged into hell and forced to fight their way back out, they have lasting scars that will weigh on their shoulders for a long time to come, but len refuses to let such an event drag him down. as far as he's concerned, mars' dad is dead and gone, and he can continue living life the way he wants to ⏤ carefree, and with his best friend at his side.

shipping is welcomed! i do have a few preferred ships, being with zhiyu moke, gumi, utatane piko, and pretty much any of the other vocalads™, but I am happy to discuss any ship possibilities! however, please bear in mind that, even with these preferences, I will only ship with chemistry, and am unwilling to ship immediately.
